About
I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I worked as a counsellor and Adjunct Professor within the university sector and in private practice for over 20 years; I now direct my focus solely to my psychotherapy practice, working with women 18 and over. I help people achieve the lives they want to live by working through their anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family conflicts, self-esteem, and major life transitions.
I am passionate about women’s mental health and fascinated by the impact of our socialization, roles, relationships, external expectations, internal needs, and our transitions through life stages: home to school, school to work, into motherhood, through menopause, and our relationships every step of the way.
I work well with the intellectualizers, the thinkers, and those who don't think therapy is for them; it might not be but I promise you a gently challenging, playful, and open place to explore this from.
I have practiced yoga and meditation for over 20 years and, prior to having children, taught yoga within the community and for hospital inpatients with mental health diagnoses. Outside of my working life you will typically find me outside! I am a hiker, camper, canoe tripper, voracious reader, and water lover.
The common theme in both my personal and professional life is to untangle the places we are stuck to reach, stretch, and grow into the people we are meant to be. I look forward to working with you.
